*2011*

So, the new year has come and gone already! It amazes me that time is just flying by. I cannot believe that Matt and I have been married for almost 8 months!!! Though we have had our ups and downs and are not perfect, I wouldn't trade it for the world!! Matt has been amazing husband, and I have loved getting to know him in our marriage on a new and more intimate level.

We have been a part of an amazing group of married couples that has inspired, loved, and encouraged us through this new chapter of our lives.  We have loved every minute of being about of this group.  And now that Matt has applied to the Harker Heights police dept and made it through two cuts (please pray that he continues to make the cuts) it looks like we could be here for a while.  So it is nice that we have made these wonderful friends to grow with at this time in our lives!!

I have started selling Scentsy Wickless Candles!!!! I am very excited about this new adventure that God has blessed me with. Please feel free to let me know if you need anything our have any questions.  Check out my website: leahmarie.scentsy.us.

I am excited and nervous to see what the Lord has in store for Matt and I.  I pray that I can continue to faithful and trust that He is in control and has a perfect plan for Matt and I.  Please continue to pray for Matt and I as we are looking to new career opportunities.

prayers, blessings, and love to each of you!!

Fall is Here!!!

I am so excited that today was so nice and cool with fall weather!!

So, these last few weeks I have been attending this bible study for young married women, and it has been awesome! We have been learning the lessons in Titus 2:3-5 plus learning different meals to cook and techniques with those meals. If anyone knows me, then they know that I LOVE to cook!  I love having new recipes to use! I made homemade lasagna for the first time this weekend! It was awesome! We have had some great food, and I look forward to making more from the many recipes to come! :)

The second bible study that Matt and I are both are attending is wonderful! We are making new friends and learning about the Lord and what He is calling us to do. What could be better!?  After reading part of the lesson today, I was so convicted on the life I live. I pray that I can be a light for the Lord and live for Him and not myself.

Have a great and blessed week!

"Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. Then they can train the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God." Titus 2:3-5

Settling In

Matt and I are finally starting to settle into the groove of our lives together.  Between work, family, church, and friends we are very busy.  But in the midst of all the craziness, Matt and my mom managed to plan a surprise party for me last weekend! It was pretty awesome I must admit, along with being totally surprised!! But, that wasn't the only surprise I had last weekend! Matt invited his parents up to visit us! :) It was a very awesome surprise! We went out to lunch and I thought they had to go back home (3 hour drive) then another surprise was they came to the party! I was under the impression they were turning around and going home, but SO surprised to see them at the party that night.  Sunday (my actual bday) Matt took me out to Round Rock after church.  It was a nice day with the hubby!  All in all, my 25th birthday was filled with wonderful surprises and amazing family!
Birthday Princess!!! So much fun!
So excited about the pedi/mani gift certificate!!
ECLIPSE!! Enough said!
My awesome husband!!! Love him oh so much!
Heading to Round Rock for a fun-filled birthday!!!

I guess that is all that has happened in the past few weeks. We are not the most exciting people....haha!!  However, we are becoming very involved in a Sunday school class and a small group.  We are loving the people we are meeting and becoming friends with. It is such a blessing from the Lord to meet people our age and have the same desire in life, to serve the Lord and love people as He calls us to do!

My daily struggle is to surrender to the Lord DAILY and let His will be done and not mine.  Adjusting to married life in my walk with the Lord has been a little difficult. Satan is constantly whispering deceitful lies to me....and the horrible thing is believing them can be easy! I pray that the Lord continues to strengthen me in Him to remember His truths and promises to Matt and I.  Please pray for me that I would focus on God's word and what He has said and not what Satan lies are telling me.  Thank you so much!  God bless you and your family!

"11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you," declares the LORD, "and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you," declares the LORD, "and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile."

New Space

Okay, so I have determined I am not very good at this but I am going to keep trying. We moved into our own place (finally) in Temple, and we love it! It is smaller than what we hoped for, but we know it is perfect for right now. It is coming together a little slower than what I would like, but putting two peoples stuff together and cleaning out and adding stuff can take a while. I can't wait until it is all done and then some pictures can be posted. YAY!

We are also excited that I got a NEW JOB!!! I got a job at the local hospital here so I will be in the medical field...right where I want to be! Pays better also plus the benefits are good! First time in my life where I will NOT be going to school this fall and have to have a "grown up" job. I am kind of excited about this new chapter in life.  And it is so awesome to be sharing it with an amazing man.

We are looking forward to start attending a Sunday school class in a week or so.  We are hoping to meet new friends and make great bonds with them.  I love the church we attend here and can't wait to become more active in it.  I know the Lord has some wonderful things in store for our future.  He has already blessed us so much in the month and half we have been married.  This new adventure is fun and stretches as people (but I like growing and discovering new things about myself).  I can't thank the Lord enough who He blessed me with to share this adventure with us.  Please continue to pray for us and our adventure. If you have any prayer requests or questions about Jesus, feel free to let me know.

Have a blessed week!

WE'RE MARRIED!!!!!!

So, WE ARE MARRIED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry it has taken me so long to post, but things have been crazy since we got back. I started work at Academy Sports last week and it's like riding a bike. But that's the boring stuff...now for the fun stuff and pictures!

First of all, the wedding was AMAZING!!! I don't have any pictures from that yet, but we had a great, wonderful, fun time! It was so beautiful and I don't think I could have asked for anything better! After our fun-filled wedding we left for JAMAICA on Sunday! It was so much fun and beautiful! I loved that we got to have this adventure together. Everything went so smoothly until we got to the Montego Bay Airport.  We were in the airport waiting for our flight when it got delayed once for mechanical problems and again for the weather.  So, when we finally get to Miami we had to haul butt through baggage claim, customs, and security to our gate.  Thankfully we made it! Well, here are some pictures from the honeymoon...enjoy!
